Blackmagic Devices

Streamwell works great with the Web Presenter and ATEM Mini Pro/Extreme from Blackmagic Design!

SRT Streaming into Streamwell with Blackmagic devices is easy! First, make sure your Web Presenter is on version 3.4 or higher, or your ATEM Mini switcher is on version 9.5 or higher. SRT from Blackmagic devices is supported in Streamwell v1.5.1 and up, otherwise you can still use RTMP/S.

ATEM Mini Pro/Extreme - SRT Settings

Using ATEM Software Control, select the 'Output' tab on the Switcher page and choose 'Custom URL H.264' as the platform. Enter the following values (these can be copy/pasted by clicking "show" next to the Stream Source links)

Server: srt://your-server.com:9999 Key: your-srt-stream-ID Passphrase: your-srt-passphrase (if SRT passphrase is configured)

The built-in Quality profiles for streaming work well. Start from Medium and move up or down from there depending on your needs.

Blackmagic Web Presenter - SRT Settings

The Blackmagic Web Presenter has a very similar setup. In the Web Presenter Setup application, set the Platform to 'Custom URL H.264' or 'Custom URL H.265' depending on your needs (latency vs quality). Enter the following values (these can be copy/pasted by clicking "show" next to the Stream Source links)

Server: srt://your-server.com:9999 Key: your-srt-stream-ID Passphrase: your-srt-passphrase (if SRT passphrase is configured)

Adding Streamwell as a Platform Destination

You can also download an auto-generated config file for Blackmagic Devices right from the Administration panel, under Manage -> Server -> System Info. To import the config file, choose Stream -> Load Streaming Settings in the ATEM Software Control app. This will add your Streamwell server as an RTMP/RTMPS destination.

Unable to download the XML? Use this template and edit the values to suit your server, then import it as shown above. You can also manually add the entire <service></service> definition to the default Streaming.xml file, however that file will be overwritten when the ATEM Software is updated.

These directions should also work with the new Blackmagic Web Presenter HD/4K which has the same streaming engine as the ATEM Mini Pro.
